Due to globalization and Internet, the potential number of Life Science suppliers is expanding rapidly. In contract, many purchasing departments are trying to reduce the number of suppliers to reduce cost. However, it is near to impossible to have sufficient knowledge and expertise to do proper and objective comparisons of all potential suppliers for all the market segments a typical purchasing department covers. 
The potential of suppliers from China will be clear to many purchasers and/or outsourcing managers, but language and logistics often presents as an important threshold.
